N-FDPS = tomtom

For those of you struggling to understand the New Flightplan Processing System in Maastricht, perhaps the following interview can be of help. The following link will take you to the Flemish Radio 1 site, where Fred Könnemann enlightens the listeners on NFDPS inauguration-day what this new system really is and does...

Click here for the story and click on the link under 'Audio'. It's in dutch but if demand is high enough, we might just put an english translation up. Let us know via our 'Contact' page.

OPS Breakfast

With the introduction of the new ops roster from 01/10 it was clear that it would be very difficult to continue with the provision of breakfast in the same way it was done in the past. Although the roster is still called "Team Based" it has become impossible for the responsible persons in the different teams to figure out when they were supposed to arrange breakfast and who they should approach for that.

So the time had come for the board to decide if we would continue with the provision of the breakfast. We all agreed at the latest meeting to do so, but to change the procedure completely.

Consitution & Bye-Laws

EGATS is governed by a Consitution and Bye-Laws.

As EGATS is registered in the Netherlands, the Dutch version of our constitution is the legally binding one.

Changes of the Constitution can only take place after the General Meeting has decided so,
whereby this meeting was called with the announcement that changes to the Constitution will
be proposed. They need to be approved by a 2/3 majority of a General Meeting where at least 2/3 of the membership is present. If that quorum is not reached at the meeting, a Special General Meeting may be called. Changes to the constitution then require 2/3 of the people present at that meeting.

Changes to the Bye-Laws can also only be taken by a General Meeting. They need to be announced on the agenda and need a simple majority of the members present at the meeting to approve them.
